today i was telling someone a story, and i heard the words 'when i was in college' come out of my mouth. they felt so strange! although i have to say, it is becoming more and more real to and ok with me lately that i'm no longer a student. yes, i miss that life, i miss those days, i miss those people, but life goes on.
today we were reviewing animals. i held up a picture of a gorilla and asked, 'what is it?' one of my students yelled out 'DA XING XING'! and i just thought of the ihouse and smiled. i didn't almost cry, i didnt almost book a plane ticket home, i didn't feel bad at the memory. i smiled for it, happy that i have all those good memories, and then i carried on with my lesson. is that what moving on feels like? is it supposed to feel like that?
also, i was reading lady chatterly's lover and came across this one:
'we've got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen.'
**also, today is a very important day for america. i wish i was there today. take a minute and remember.
