my thigh muscles are still throbbing from hiking in nanya, and i am currently washing my clothes from the second time trying to get all the mud out. also, only 9 of my toes are currently in working condition as i crashed one walking down the mountain! but! it was an awesome weekend :)

i met the girls in keelung and we went to our old standby hotel; the lady even gave us the same room we had last time. however, we have super bad luck...everytime we go to keelung, its sopping wet rain :( so we hung out in the city saturday night and of course went to the night market to stuff ourselves full of all the food we could find. one of my most favourite things about taiwan is going to the night market and stopping in every stand, eating everything i can get my hands on (everything that isn't still swimming, that is). the next day we headed off to nanya...which was quite the adventure~ i'm pretty sure we are the only foreigners who have EVER set foot on this place, and all the villagers were super confused as to why we were there and what we were doing...but we hiked anyway :) and despite my allergies going mad at the top and ripping my toe off on the way down AND not being able to see anything from the top because of the fog, it was an excellent hike!!
