the typhoon is finally over. we were very lucky in jhubei city, no damage (as far as i know), but some places were most definitely not so lucky. im sure its all over american news, or you can find it online, but there are some very unfortunate situations right now on our little island. please keep us all in your prayers.
today after work, tammy and i went out to mosburger for supper. i tried to order in chinese, but for some reason it just would not come out. the lady could tell i was getting frustrated, so she tried english, but it wasnt coming out for her either, so we both just stood there feeling like idiots because neither of us could speak the others' language. i felt like a big moron. i really need to work on my chinese. really really really. anyway, we sat and ate and talked about how expensive america is compared to taiwan, and then we shopped =) i bought a plant, a reed diffuser, the prettiest pillow, and a towel! im trying not to blow my entire paycheck in hola yet! ;) im learning so much self control. wish i could channel that into keeping my house clean...
taiwan is still awesome. the weather tonight was actually amazing...it was a little bit windy and not so hot! job is still brilliant. decorating my apt a little more each day...wish you all could come and see how cute it is (if i do say so myself!) nothing special really going on...just getting used to my new asian life =)
in other news, josh groban's new album comes out in march/april!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't express how happy i am about that.

I am sooooo happy that you bought a plant. Now you have more oxygen and less CO2 in your house :)
